Reinventing consulting and organisations

After decades of gathering experience in leading positions in various industries and countries, I designed the Augmented Leadership (AL) methodology for you, vibrant new generation of leaders! We all know that we run our organisations in an end-of-life-cycle way, with a 60% employee engagement rate and a 70% failure rate for transformation projects or start-ups. But few have solutions to reinvent it! Expensive consultants have made lots of slides, but how many implementations of sustainable change can we admire? I certainly see billions spent in band-aiding broken systems, with nothing but entropy as a result. For me it was time …

Rosho’s Toolbox for Augmented Leaders

Decades of researching and preparing were necessary for this Toolbox for Augmented Leaders. It is a truly integral philosophical, operational and transformational framework, based on a number of thought-systems and methodologies. These are both useful for the personal development of the Leader and at the same time Best Practice for organisations. By definition, an Augmented Leader would not want to dissociate his personal evolution from his organisation’s evolutionary structure. Integral Spiral Dynamics, by Graves, Beck, Cowan, Wilber AQAL Four Quadrants and the Theory of Everything, by Ken Wilber Entropositive Principles, Governance OS and Ontology Maps, by Rosho Ikigai principle of …

Thoughts on 30th Anniversary of German Unity

As a German national, citizen of the world, and mindful witness to history over half a century, I would like to give my integral perspective on this important day. There are more aspects to this event than I thought when I started writing, which is typical for Integral analysis. I try to shed light upon all four angles of reality: internal and external, both individual and collective views of the complex interconnected reality of things. What Happened Thirty Years ago?  A major European country, Germany, was officially reunited after 45 years of political separation by a guarded wall with deadly …

Looking for Social Media Expert / Community Manager

Rosho needs help with growing the community significantly. The project is to write a book “The Futures of Work and Organisations” over the next months, so when it comes out, the current community of roughly 3000 people on different Social Medias and Meetup groups will multiply, in order to crownfund or simply pre-order the book. If you know how to grow a community with existing and future serious content, give Rosho a shout at rosho@al.guru and tell him how you would do that and make a proposal!

Agile, Self-Org, Competence Management, Team Dynamics

In Agile Transformations, team dynamics are crucial and the following article explains them so well. I can see in many places that teams are cut without defining a common purpose and governance rules, even in agile coaching teams themselves. If we don’t consider the Dynamic Spiral and competence level of people and just tell them to be “self-managed”, what can we expect? For example, a ‘green’ manager will expect people to be ‘equal’, as he lives in a flatland, but if the people in the team are in a ‘red/orange’ meme they will not want a competence hierarchy but a …

Agile / Self-Org goes Mainstream in Traditional German Manufacturing Industry!

Rosho, the Business Monk, has a new assignment within the German traditional engineering manufacturing industry! We all read about software development becoming agile, and I think this is no news, even though I can see a lot of misunderstandings and improvement-worth practice. What is new, in revenge, is to see Agile / Self-Org transformations within the very traditional German engineering and manufacturing industry. As a former “Maschinenbauer” and craftsman, Organ Builder to be precise, I was delighted to secure an agile/self-org transformation coaching assignment within the most German of all industries: mechanical manufacturing. This extraordinary company is facing the same …

Meetup – The Future of Work and Organisations – 23rd July

We had a successful Meetup at WeWork in Sony Center Berlin on Tuesday 23rd of July and here are the pictures and most important: the presentation. The topic was around our possibilities to actually design and implement the future where we work, without even being asked or having a mandate. I explained how I did this working for Ikea and other well established companies in Europe.

Stragedy, Strategy or Tragedy

I went to Italy recently, twice, to Rome and Sicily, visited a bit, and talked to some colleagues there. In Rome, we were staying a few meters away from the Vatican and a dear friend told me about the notion of “stragedy” of politics in Italy. Obviously, the friend being Italian and living in Rome, he was referring to Italy, but I thought to myself that the idea of “stradegy” applied literally everywhere. Our society and our organisations, our whole civilisation has a clear sense of stragedy, at almost any scale. Only on a global scale, we, Humanity, don’t have …
